Real Love is where nothing is expected in return

It’s been said that a mother loves unconditionally. She nurtures her baby whilst in her womb and before her baby is born, she is already in love. She would do anything for her baby/child’s happiness.
She is connected so deeply with her child that she feels all the emotions of her child. She would smile when her child smiles.
She would cry when her child cries.
She is the perfect role model of real love where nothing is expected in return.
Our mother was just this! Her love for the three daughters was real love, she expected nothing in return. Her love extended to all those she knew and she would love, give and expect nothing in return.
Living without expecting anything from anyone saves a lot of heartache. When love is given with a pure heart, it’s real love. When love is conditioned with an expectation of something in return, then disappointments may be experienced.
